The joys of simplicity 🙋🏽♀️
You don't always need a big, fancy vacation, expensive clothes, a large house, and tons of friends to feel satisfied, fulfilled, and joyful.
You might be going through a challenging time in your life right now, such as financial burdens, illness or loss of loved ones, your own illness, loss of a job, or loneliness.
Whatever your circumstances, the simple act of being still and quieting the mind can do wonders as you deal with challenges.
Going inwards and examining what is happening in your world, and finding inner peace and joy within yourself.
Knowing that your higher power and the universe have your back. Look for the lesson in every situation and ask yourself, "What is this situation trying to teach me?"
When you can sit in the comfort of your mind, joy comes very easily.
Here are a few simple things you can do to feel joyful and fulfilled no matter what you are going through today:
Be still and quiet - some see this as meditation.
Take a walk in nature and observe the sounds around you - the birds, the squirrels, and the wind. Take in the colors of the leaves on the trees, the soil, the grass - take it all in, and you will appreciate the awareness of nature.
Take a walk by the ocean or any body of naturally flowing water - the calmness and sereneness that it brings.
Call up a friend or a loved one and let them know how much you love and appreciate them.
Tell yourself how much you love you! (my favorite).
