During my thirties, I began to notice changes in my body. Some days, I just didn't feel like myself.

My energy levels were erratic, and I frequently experienced lethargy and fatigue. Additionally, my sleep was poor, which contributed to my lack of energy.

There were times when I thought I had a serious illness after consulting with Dr. Google based on my symptoms. 

Before continuing my story, I'm inviting you to a 20-minute Wellness Audit with me.

On with my story...

Additionally, my waistline expanded, and I did not change my diet or exercise routine.

But full disclosure, my diet was not the best back then, and there was little discipline to my workout routine. 

By the time I was in my early 40s, I had developed fibrocystic breast tissues, which started me on a whole new journey. 

My doctors told me that it is part of the aging process and it was normal for a woman my age to develop these cysts and there was nothing I could do about them. 

Their treatment plan was to see my Breast Specialist every six months and do a monogram and a sonogram. 

However, on the other hand, they also told me that my cysts put me at a higher risk of developing breast cancer. 

Okay, first it’s normal and then, I’m at high risk for breast cancer.

You cannot imagine all the emotions that were going through my head at that time.


Fear for my family especially my young children, and myself. 

During this time I felt alone and had no support outside of my doctors. I didn’t know any other women who were experiencing this. 

Through my research and a quest for answers, I discovered that I was in perimenopause and most of what I was experiencing was due to hormonal changes. 

This was a big reveal which started me on a path to healing. And I did heal my body…it was not easy, but it is possible!

I shared that story because I wish I had found a coach or a Facebook group where I could learn more about perimenopause and menopause. 

Today I help women over 40 navigate and manage their wellness and menopausal journey.

Because I know how challenging it can be for some women.
