A few of my favorite things and why I love them...

Apart from our basic necessities - food, shelter, clothing, there are some things that we all have in our lives that we cannot see ourselves living without and we wonder what we did before we had them, can you relate?.

I am sharing five of my favorite things in this blog (look out for the other 5 in the next blog) that I absolutely love because they have made such a difference in my health and my life in general.

Clary Calm is an essential oil blend that has made such a difference in supporting the balancing of my hormones. It has helped me with PMS, cramps, hot flashes and mood swings. I apply it to my abdomen, back of neck, and the bottoms of my feet for fast relief of my symptoms.

Multi Collagen Protein Powder - Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and can be found in the blood vessels, corneas, teeth, etc. It is a fundamental building block for healthy bones, skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. As we age, collagen levels decline and so supplementing helps to replace some of what is lost -supporting elasticity in the skin, protecting our joints and muscles. My favorite brand is from Ancient Nutrition. I add this to my teas and green smoothies.

Ashwagandha is an important herb in Ayurvedic medicine. It is used to support certain hormonal symptoms, reduce anxiety and depression, boost brain function, lower blood sugar, cortisol and cholesterol levels, etc. I add this to my teas and green smoothies.

Monkfruit Sugar is made from extract from dried monk fruit which is 150-250 times sweeter than table sugar, has zero calories and carbs, and does not raise blood glucose levels. It has no known side effects unlike artificial sweeteners (Splenda, Equal) that are controversial. I use it for baking and to sweeten my tea.

Matcha Green Tea is derived from the Camellia Sinensis plant and is grown and harvested differently from green tea. While it is high in caffeine, it has a tremendous amount of antioxidants which help stabilize harmful free radicals that can cause cell damages leading to chronic diseases in the body. I enjoy my matcha with hot water, almond milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, collagen, monk sugar to taste and sometimes I add a tab bit of ashwagandha powder.

Respond and let me know what are some of your favorite things:-)

Deon
